Today's Observations
So, I managed to do my online homework, print my short story and be confident about a quiz all in one day. I feel so accomplished because two out of the three things were done early. I can feel responsibility slow seeping into me. Also, I think the SCC computers hate me. I've had the computers say that it won't print because there isn't any printer (even though there is) and that my stuff was printed even though it wasn't. Now tomorrow I have to go back and make sure I was charged more than once.

/>My boyfriend is in New Orleans for work. He's closer than what he is when he's at home. We're trying to make plans...and hopefully his job won't cockblock like Gustav did when the storm punked out.

The Aggie Democrats
Today was the first Texas Aggie Democrats meeting and I am excited to be part of this group. The people were passionate and their t-shirts rock.  I think I may actually attend the War protest coming up.  I was quite moved by one of the guys (I think his name is Andrew?) who spoke about his conversion from Republican to Democrat. He sounded so passionate and secure in his choice, which I think is quite amazing.

Tomorrow is the GLBTA meeting, and I can't wait for that.  My mom had to warn me about the potential for cold-shoulders from people after attending the meeting, but I reminded her that I don't have any friends so it doesn't matter much to me. And even if I did have friends, if they couldn't respect my choice of showing my support for the GLBTA then I didn't need them in my life anyway. I'm glad my mother understands my need to support the Aggie Democrats and the GLBTA...she gets my need to feel like I'm sticking it to TAMU for their stupid close-minded ideals.

I think Sunday is my Star Trek and Science Fiction Association meeting, and the nerd/geek in me cannot wait!

Sociology
Later today is a discussion day. Like the other day I am both happy and scared about that.

House
Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) is going to be in a PG TV lesbian sex scene. Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) is still rocking her Fuck Me Pumps (thank you Amy Winehoue for this phrase). When I put that all together, methinks I would go gay for either woman....especially Olivia (she's closer in age than Lisa, Lisa would intimidate me). And that PI (the dude who was Olivia's brother on SVU) has the sexiest eyes. I love them.

The Weather

/>I lol'd when my boyfriend called it Hurricane Ike and Tina. I had to make this because What's Love Got to Do With It is one of my favorite movies (and oddly enough Laurence Fishbourne brought the lulz as Ike).
