Summary: Four Crossovers that have nothing in common other than they’re all set in the same universe.
Authors note: [info]kell887  and I often think up random crossovers that we’d like to read. So I wrote a few of them.

1.
Dana Whitaker and Natalie Hurley were walking through the halls of the Sports Night offices on a bright fall morning.

“Tell me about this guy you have a date with tonight,” Dana said.

“Oh he’s great. He has two kids, runs an art gallery…”

“He has two kids?”

“Dan and Jenny, seventeen and fifteen. And did I mention that he’s in a band?”

“Really? Have I heard of it?”

“Probably not. It’s just a little band called Lincoln Hawk.”

Dana stopped in her tracks, “Lincoln Hawk? Natalie Hurley had did you get so cool?”

“I know right.”

“What’s going on?” Jeremy Goodwin asked coming up to the women.

“I’ve got a date with Rufus Humphrey from Lincoln Hawk.” Natalie smiled, “Jealous?”

“Not remotely.” Jeremy handed Dana a folder, “Here are those papers you wanted.”

“Thanks.” The two women began to walk back down the hall.

“Jeremy’s totally jealous.” Natalie smirked, “Feels pretty good.”

2.
Everyone was gathered in the meeting room for the noon rundown.

“Finally, Natalie how are the interviews for the weekend anchor position going?” Dana asked from her spot at the head of the table.

“Good. There’s one more left. Casey’s going to interview her after we’re done.”

“That I am.” Casey McCall said looking up from the tablet of paper on the desk.

“Why is Casey doing the interview?” Will asked.

“Because she’s pretty,” Both Kim and Natalie told him.

Casey rolled his eyes and looked at Dana, “Are we done here?”

“I think so. Everyone back here at two.”

Dana rushed over to Casey as he was about to leave the room.

“So this girl is pretty?” she asked.

“I don’t know. Kim and Natalie seem to think so if that means anything. “

They walked out of the room and Casey looked around for the woman he was to interview.

“Which one is she?” Dana asked.

“The brunette over there I think.”

Dana patted his back, “Good luck.”

“Thanks.” Casey walked over to the woman, “Hi, are you here for the interview?”

“Yes.” She stood up.

Casey furrowed his brow and looked her in the eye, “You look really familiar. What’s your name?”

“Robin Scherbatsky.”

“Robin,” he repeated, “Doesn’t ring a bell.”

Later that afternoon Casey sat in the editing Bay with Jeremy and Dan.

“Have either one of you ever heard of someone named Robin Scherbatsky?” Casey asked.

Jeremy and Dan shook their heads.

“She’s a brunette, Canadian, you haven’t heard of her?”

Dan shook his head again but Jeremy just sat there.”

“Jeremy, you have a weird look on your face,” Dan told him.

“You know who she is, don’t you?” Casey asked.

“Do you remember that video that we saw on YouTube by that girl, Robin Sparkles?”

Casey’s eyes grew wide, “Oh dear God. I just met Robin Sparkles.”

3.
“Please tell me that didn’t happen.” Casey asked as he and Dan walked out of the NBS building.

“You mean did we just start to cry while talking about Field of Dreams?” Dan asked, “Unfortunately it did.”

“You don’t think they’re going to put that in the show do you?” Dan gave Casey a look.

“Hey Idiot boys.” Jordan McDeere, Head of the Nation Broadcasting System, called out from behind the guys, “Hold up.”

They stopped and turned around and saw that she was smiling. This wasn’t good.

“I just heard about the interview.” She told them, “Don’t think for a second that they’re not going to bring that up this Friday.”

“See.” Dan muttered.

“You know,” Casey crossed his arms, “I hear that Saturday Night Live makes their hosts feel welcome.”

“Well Studio 60 isn’t Saturday Night Live.”

“So we’ve noticed,” Dan told her.

“I’ll see you two around.”

4.
Twenty minutes. This horrific double date had only been going on for twenty minutes. It felt like an eternity to Dan. So when the girls got up to go to the bathroom he leaned across the table.

“How’s your date going?” he asked.

The other man sighed, “Bad.”

“You want to get out of here?”

“Absolutely.”

The two got up and hurried to the front where they paid for dinner, they weren’t completely heartless, and then left
the restaurant.

“So, I don’t think I heard your name.” Dan said as he attempted to hail a cab.

“Lee, Lee Adama.”

“Dan Rydell, nice to meet you. So you want to go get a drink or something?”

“That sounds good.”

~*~

Dan took him to El Perro Fumando (“The smoking dog. Or maybe the flaming dog. There’s been some discussion over the translation,” Dan had told him.)

“Do you go here a lot?” Lee asked as the waitress brought them their drinks.

“With some people from work, yeah. I like it. If you wear something blue you get $2 off a giant blue margarita.”
“Well that’s certainly a selling point.”

“Certainly is.” Dan took a drink of his beer and then asked, “Are you from around here?”

“No. I’m a long way from home, Caprica. You’ve probably never hear of it. ”

“No I haven’t. Is it in Florida?”

Lee laughed, “No, not in Florida. But how about you?”

“Born in Connecticut. But I’ve lived here long enough to consider it home. Got any siblings?”

Lee’s face grew serious and Dan recognized the expression instantly.

“Oh. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have.”

“No, it’s cool.”

“What happened?”

“My brother was a pilot. He crashed his plane.”

“I’m sorry.”

“It was a long time ago. Another lifetime.”

“I know what you mean.” Dan took another drink, “I lost my brother when I was eighteen. Car accident. You’ve probably heard about it by now.”

Lee shook his head, “No.”

“He was high. Crashed into a brick wall.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Like you said, it was another lifetime ago.”

Lee picked up a menu that was stuck between the napkin holders.

“You want to eat something? I’m starving.”

“Yeah. Yeah, food sounds good.” Dan smiled.
