I hang out on the IDW boards a lot. Probably too much, really. All the hate and negativity that's going around because of the All Hail Megatron story arc (by Shane McCarthy) is really getting to me.

Honestly, people need to get their heads out of their afts and just move on! I even tried providing a rational thought about how with this particular comic the negative people just happen to be more vocal than the positives...needless to say, I got 'utterly trounced in open debate' as Jack Cade put it. I honestly hope Shane really DOES realize he has people supporting him.

It's people like the jerks on the IDW boards that make the positive people give up and shut up (and resort to saying stupid things out of frustration).

I'm loving his storytelling style. As a primarily visual person, I love when I can pinpoint little things in just the artwork or in short conversations that just make me giddy. Granted, I can't be EXACTLY certain that Thundercracker's uncertain glances are due to Shane's writing them in or Guido's inclusion out of preference, but I just LOVE seeing that part of TC's character bio finally being played out.

Even if I didn't like Shane's style, I don't advocate flaming either...unless it's Tramp. I just don't like him. (Then again, he's gone out of his way to make it a personal vendetta with me and many others...)

And what I find amusing is that when I voice support on the boards for ANYTHING that is not accepted by the angry "majority" I get ripped to feckin' SHREDS (as do many others) but when the dissenters get into their hate-speeches about how much they dislike Shane's style (or Shane himself) if I try to stand up for it, I get FURTHER chewed out and the bitching just continues with additional attacks that the supporters have "no sound reasoning for why they like the series".

If I weren't so confrontational, I'd just ignore the entire board and just stick to the Fanart section...but morbid curiosity wins out and I just feel the need to bite back.

Fatal flaw. Heh.
