today's exam was mediocre at best, but mediocre at worst, too. so I'm happy. as usual, my goal was not to do well but to get out of the exam as quickly as possible; not because I don't like exams, but because I'm easily bored and lazy, and also because I'm the worst sort of competetive - I'm self competetive. extremely. but I'm happy. in fact, if I were being in any way self-reflective and insightful, I'd say that I'm going up. "up" as in hypermanically so. but I don't care!! I'm happy happy happy and the world ought to know.


my favourite photo followed a day when I was about 7, my brother 5, when we'd been out with my dad to a fair. I remember that it was somewhere grassy with lots of gum trees, so perhaps near the dandenongs, although it could also have been ... well, I'm not sure. anyway, there was a facepainting booth where parents could DIY for their kids, and I was a princess and cameron a tiger. bleugh. I wish I had been the tiger; cameron was enough of a princess (as further tale shall tell). I looked awful (I have photographic evidence), but my hair was that dirty blonde it used to be before it darkened, halfway down my back, so I can't complain.

anyway, when we got home sometime cameron had a shower and cried when the paint got in his eyes (yes, photos of that to, and evidence he was a princess). then we were in bed, and cameron, as he did, kept kicking and attacking me if I moved or breathed too loudly (he used to tell me off for blowing my nose, or punch me. yes, seriously). eventually, after much fighting, we fell asleep.

and the photo is of cameron and I, fast asleep, our blonde hair creating halos around not-so-innocent heads as we nuzzle into the pillow. I think watching people sleep (not creepily!) is so beautiful.
