Last Friday, Reyan and I went out for our weekly dinner. We pretty much only eat at Korean restaurant, Goshen, these days because we're too lazy to think of anywhere else to go and we have yet to get sick of the food. I always enjoy the friendly welcomes from the waitresses and chefs, however I'm starting to think that we'll have to eat there for the rest of our lives or else they'll be incredibly sad and think we've died.

Going against tradition, we decided to have dessert as well. The Green Tea Ice Cream came out in a elegant platter and was presented beautifully with chocolate sauce that had being drawn into a butterfly and the word, Goshen. It was so pretty I almost didn't want to eat it! One day I shall remember to bring along my camera and take photos for all you lovely international friends (mostly just you, Kath, because you'll swoon so much when you see the chandeliers in this place). Anyhow, I've never had green tea ice cream before, so I can't compare, but I can say that it tasted very much like green tea, which was strangely addictive.

I was oddly chipper that night, which may have had something to do with my super glittery 80s prom dress. While in my usual frantic dash to get ready in 10 minutes (which I fail at doing), I felt compelled to wear it, considering it's only being worn once and is one of my favourite pieces. That sort of got me thinking as I realised that the key standouts of my wardrobe hardly see the light of day due to the fact that I don't get invited to Prom everyday. So, as a result, I think I'm going to try to wear those pieces of clothing more often, not just because it would be a waste of money to have them hidden away, but mostly just because they make me happy. That's not to say I'll be wearing cocktail dresses to uni, but who's to say you can't wear a nice dress to dinner or the shops. Clothes aren't just a piece of material we throw on to cover bits or keep warm, but they're also an expression of ourselves. How we dress can tell the world how we feel, what we believe in and how we see ourselves.

A tad off-track, but I find this photo of Anna Sui in 1981 incredibly amusing. Ahh, the tragic 80s.

But, wait a second.
I like bangs in my eyes.
I like red lipstick.
I like to stick bows in my hair.
I like tragic 80s prom dresses.

I am a disaster waiting to happen. But that's just fashion, isn't it?
