An episode that has:

Bosco banty-roostering the Secret Service, which causes no end of delight in his colleagues.

Sully's appreciation for poetry and fine food ending in some duck a la orange and an understanding of sorts between him and a Fraunch chef.

("I dig poetry" and then the list he makes--Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickens [sic]--guys, I don't know that I could love Sully more if I tried. IF I TRIED.)

Oh, and Sully scoring food for his merry band of misfits, who look on like a collective Oliver:

There is also Bobby at his most insanely hot, playing baseball and giving Kim (OH BOBBY NO) the Sex Eye:

The first time I connected with Carlos. His reasons for wanting to hear the bad stories struck a deep chord in me.

And some of the best Bos/Yokas interactions ever. EVER.

Arguing over the paper:

Word up, Yokas. I hate it when the paper gets all crumbly too.

And the politics. I don't think screencaps would do the entire exchange between Bos, Yokas, and eventually Sully and Ty justice. It resonates even now, their various opinions re: the Clinton/Giuliani debate. Just...you guys should see this episode.

And Bosco's love of animal programs that so beautifully captures the dichotomy that is Maurice Boscorelli.

Shark shows and elephant babies, y'all. Shark shows and elephant babies. And how he focuses on the lioness and her cubs, sees himself as both the lion and the antelope.

He's so great. He's such a pain in the ass, but he's so great.

And then he tells Faith this wrenching story about defending an annoying kid from bullies and getting his ass kicked at home for his troubles...and she tells him in this proud, warm, maternal way that he's a good cop.

Sigh. Sigh.

Oh, and not pictured, but important: Kim made me cry a little with her story about the college grad and I eventually stopped telling Doc to shut up already.

Yup. Basically, guys. Basically.
