Tomorrow, I'm cutting out of work early to head down to Bloomington for the third time in under two months, but it's for probably the coolest event out of the three.

Since my father has recently been recognized for playing basketball at IU (and he has a newfound hope in the college with my enrollment there), we have accepted an invitation to attend a formal dinner tomorrow with Tom Crean (the new IU head coach), the current basketball team, and all of IU's older, historic players.

I like to think of it as "my generation" meets "my father's generation." I'll be a fellow student with 3/4 of the players on the team next year, and any of the "legend" players probably knew my father at some point.

The fact that we're eating a (restaurant currently unknown) top-notch dinner with them makes it all-the-more exciting for us. We're leaving New Palestine at around 4:15 pm, and we should be back late.

I'm anticipating another unforgettable night between my father and I. I'll post on it later.
