Tara didn’t know why she was surprised; Jax had been an amazing lover when they were young. Of course, back then she didn’t have the experience to know better. But he always seemed to know what she needed.

What she craved.

The years had only heightened his anticipatory reflexes.

Her hands clenched involuntarily against his shoulders as he sank a second finger into her.

Testing her.

Making sure she was ready for him.

His lips found hers again, slanting over them and tasting her fully.

She was ready. She always was.
