It's fun to sound out the syllables. Syll-"ah"-bles. ;)
What's not so fun: THIS COMING WEEK. arggggg.
Mon (a.k.a. today): Last chance to relax and calmly review materials for AP English & AP World. Tues: Possible re-takes for Calc quiz at lunch/after-school; SLEEP for AP Eng. test! Wed: AP English Language test at 7:30 AM, ending approx. at 11:30AM-Noon; collapse on bed from 12:30PM to 2:30PM; do last-minute cramming for AP World. Thurs: AP World History test at 7:30 AM, ending approx. at 11:30AM-Noon; more naptime from 12:30PM to 2:30PM; attend Cathy & Billy's "Old School 2" middle school concert-like show at Roberto Clemente in the evening. Fri: School-ness once again; take on Sponsor duties at Cathy's final Confirmation rehearsal in the evening. Sat: Cathy's Confirmation in the late morning; final show of "Old School 2" in the evening. Sun: 2 hours of time alloted for thanking the lord above that HSAs are far behind self, and that sleeping in until 10AM will be an option on 4 out of 5 school days next week.
Sounds like FUN, doesn't it? ...no.
But I'll leave crying in a corner to myself later on. ;) The AP Calc test was on Wed., and it went slightly better than I expected. I (like everyone else) ran out of time on the free-response section, but I feel pretty good about the multiple-choice. *prays for a borderline 3-4* ;)
BTW, I forget if I posted about this already, but here goes: We, in fact, ARE going to Yearbook camp. It's July 23rd to the 26th, and it's down at JMU. I'm thinking about picking JMU as one of my backup colleges (because everything to me is pretty leveled in importance after Carnegie Mellon, on my list. ;) No 2nd or 3rd choices. CM = DREAM SCHOOL!), so this could also be a good eye-opener as to dorm situations and campus layouts. Singleton went there, too, I believe. Must have been fun to be in a marching band with 400 other people, hehe. ;) BUT, the Yearbook aspects of it look pretty cool, too. I don't want next year's book to be as craplicious as this one turned out to be, especially with all the page-saving problems we had. (Turns out that one of our editors has really bad spelling issues; since she had the power to submit pages by herself, she would finish up like 10 incomplete pages on a deadline day, and then she would go ahead and submit them without Greenway's approval. Ouch. And we also found a freshie's picture that got turned into a black hole by accident. At least it wasn't a senior. :S )
So... yeah. I'm gonna go take advantage of these last final moments of relaxation before the REAL craziness starts! Much love, Lizzie |
