It's the time of year that I'm inclined to send a rhyming valentine. Of course the meter could be sweeter (And word-depleted good rhymes beaten) -- But, Lost to new few truths through you to stew With thoughts wrought not bought, I sought not distraught A better grammar than to stammer mi'amor for the glamour Of a nicely-worded absurd preferred, never slurred, nor moment-spurred but that should be heard just nonetheless. And since it's june it may seem silly that I'd swoon and spend an afternoon But here I am and there you are and here I wrote it afterall. |
