Along the lines of productiveness, I feel decently accomplished today. Not that I was on top of things today, but I accomplished a few things. Firstly, I got through my debate in world history. I didn't talk that much, and I was actually pretty nervous. But what I did say had a few good points to it, so hopefully I'll get the credit. I'm pretty sure my side dominated, except the asshole guy in my group that basically contradicted all the points the other three group members and I made. I couldn't help but laugh at him in front of the class. I did. It was funny. Anyway, it's over now. I'm so happy. I have a huge exam in there one week from today, so I'm already beginning to stress a little. But along the lines of the debate, it is furthermore an example of how I turn mice into elephants, so to speak. I'm trying to work on not doing that; not freaking out about little things. I have a long way to go.
Secondly, I bought a ticket for Hamlet today. The show is tonight, and I thought since I have the night off with nothing better to do, why not go for it? So I'm going, only because I have to in order to write the paper over it for my theatre class. And lucky I got the ticket today--it's only running the next four days or so and I either have to work or have plans with Jessica.
Also, I think I might be gaining the freshman five hundred. I just wish everyone wouldn't lie to me about it. Today I came home and ate two little packages of pretzels, some applesauce, and a kudos bar. I'm a fatty, dear god! I'm actually contemplating buying myself dinner tonight before or after Hamlet.
I also went to Auto Zone today and bought new bulbs to go above my license plate, as I have been pulled over twice now for my stupid ass license plate not being lit up. I'm sure if I were to get pulled over again, they would probably jerk me out of the car and then strip search me to make sure it wasn't stolen and/or make sure I'm not a drug lord.
Anyway, my dad is coming by around five o'clock to replace the bulbs for me, because I'm mechanically challenged. So hopefully they'll work out alright.
Regarding the rest of the remaining bits of the week, I have an essay draft due tomorrow in English that I have not started on. I've taken lots of notes, done a lot of invention activities, but I've given a shit less about the essay itself. Oh well. I will either write it before I go to Thrust tonight and see the show or sometime after I get home. We'll see. As well as my revision, I've written in some changes, but I haven't typed them in yet and made myself a final copy. I'm turning it in on Monday at my conferences, I've decided. That way I still have a bit more time.
I'm glad I have the night off. It's sort of busy, but at least work's not in the picture for me. I'm glad. I wish I could see my love though.
No fear, though, because after work tomorrow night, I am driving up to stay with her and we are going shopping/to state finals on Saturday morning-afternoon. I'm pumped.
Then back to work on Sunday, and back to the school week on Monday. But at least Thanksgiving break is getting a little closer. And at least tomorrow is Friday. =) There is a bright side.
