Pill pockets....
I used to think I was pretty good at giving pills to cats, until  had to medicate my June.  These came highly recommended to me.  I was skeptical, but damn they work.  You put the pill in, smoosh it down, and give to your cat.  They will chomp it down, then beg for another.  I don't understand why the cat just doesn't eat the pocket and spit out the pill... but it works so I don't care. Expensive ($8 for 45 cat treats) but emergency room visits for nasty cat bites are expensive too.


Onto Halloween...   I'm not very keen on getting up every 90 seconds to answer a door and give out candy (even though there are always a couple of really cute costumes).  I'm also not very keen on going places where adults dress up like something or someone different.  Its especially annoying in bars, where women use it as an excuse to dress and act all slutty. Don't get me wrong; like any other heterosexual male, I enjoy looking at the female form, but c'mon have a little self respect.  Sure its attention, but is it good attention? 

It's an annoyance of sorts, but there is something I like about the trick or treat thing.  There is a big trust factor.  Tomorrow night parents are going to let their kids come to my door;  the door of a weird, middle aged man with a shaved head, who lives alone. 

Onto being proud I live and work in Hazard Harford County Maryland...  my best recolection of a conversation I overheard today...
