Ok, so there were some promo stills for 5.07 posted on TalkCSI.
I had to sigh when I first saw them. To quote Peter Lenkov:
CSI Files: And Flack and Angell are going to keep flirting?
Lenkov: [They're] two good-looking people who work together and are attracted to each other and there's some flirting. We'll see where that goes. It's a fun relationship because it's flirting. It's like when you're in an office situation with single people and you're flirting. It's just natural that those two people['s] relationship would get to that place.
Silly me, I thought that meant they might continue flirting for a while, rather than ending up looking like they're about to suck face not even halfway through season 5. With Danny and Lindsay about to find out they have a ZOMG BUN IN THE OVEN, and with the spoilers that indicate that Adam is probably going to ask Stella out, my question is this:
WHAT THE FUCK IS IN THE WATER IN THIS LAB?
I know they want to concentrate on character this season, but what the fuck? They can't concentrate on character without hooking everybody up?
Well, I guess this is why Hill was pretty confident that Hawkes would be getting a love interest this season - everybody else is apparently getting some, so he figures they'll throw a bone his way.
If he and Mac start getting jiggy with it, we can, like, have the whole lab doing it!!!!
(Don't get me wrong, I like Flack and Angell flirting - but I want it to stay flirting. Nothing throws water on the UST like resolving the tension. What happened to my crime scene investigating show? Did it become 'CSI: Constant Sexual Intercourse'?)
But of course, if you express any discontent with the ZOMG SHIPPINESS, you're just a sourpuss or a prude or jealous or some such shit. I've watched gay porn that would embarrass the fuck out of these people, and I'm not jealous (if anything, Angell is the character I'd most want to self-insert as, so shouldn't I be masturbating with joy at the possibility of seeing her touch Flack's pen0r?) - I guess I'm just a sourpuss. Every time they get my hopes up, they see if they can dash them. This season should be great - if I just ignore the baby drama and the Romantz cropping up everywhere.
And don't tell me to 'wait and see' - it's my journal and I'll bitch if I want to. |
