Been away, back now. Not a lot to say here. Most storytelling happens when people are not so sober. Got a handful of pictures of what I've been keeping busy with these past weeks though.
It may not look it in this picture, but Kataga is getting serious as a group. This, honestly, is what a bunch of young writers look like. What a let down.
Other than that, spent a week in the Ateneo University's new dorm, basking in the reflected glory of more prominent writers. The prominent writers in turn tore us young writers a collective new asshole in the hopes that we can build better, stronger versions of ourselves. Like Terminator except for literature.
Fictionist Dr. Roland Tolentino and poet Allan Popa working in concert to tear us a new one.

because being a writer is 25-hour job. Charoz. :P
A couple of fello-- hey, is that...?
Yeah, it's rockstar-at-large Dong Abay! Spotting him is like spotting Waldo.
More workshop-related blood and ass shots over here, at Multiply.
But the week before that was academic hell week. So interviews and research papers happened on the fly. This one was the documentation for my paper on local tattoo culture. This is also going to be a shameless plug for South Style Tattoos by Delfin Maru Plata. That's found in Timog, across the Saint Peter's chapel --the shop should have an advertising tag like "Where angels from across the street get inked." He uses kickass tattoo ink --Star Brite-- which doesn't fade when the tattoo heals.

Different guy, different tattoo parlor. This one's located in a nook in Circle C. I told him to flash his tattoo for the camera, he flashed the underside of it. Haha.
As with the workshop, the blood and ass shots are over here, at Multiply. 'Cause I did tell the girl I wasn't going to put her ass all over the internet. Just a select group in Multiply. :)
Oh, and angry-looking fish heads:
