Lets face it Metallica was one of the first indie super-groups. (Megaforce)  Metallica created, thrives and lives in world on to its own. Fiercely independent- making up rules as they go along.  Thats true soul.
Metallica was making melodic, radio friendly classic rock tunes from day one.  (they were just a bit ahead of their time- their  music was a bit frenetic for radio in 1983- (radio has since caught up)  It appears that several music blogs and commenter(s) have been waxing ugly about the bands new tunes nothing like the early stuff- Perhaps they should listen closer to records #1 and #2,  rather than just blog away - a common habit amongst self-crowned digital music elite.  (myself included, but not today)
This was HappyParts morning wake-up (song) for 5 years straight. (2001-2006) You know, the one that gets your blood movin before you go stock the new release rack in the indie shop.  Loyalty is king.
