I am seriously beginning to think that just moving into the church and letting people come relieve me whenever they could would be easier than coordinating these vigil shifts. Today I thought I had to be there from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, and when I found out the shifts were covered, I had all this lovely bonus time to roam around the garden and transplant the petunias that were trying to commit suicide via poor drainage from the front to the back and just generally laze about, while Chris took care of a vet appointment and made groceries. I felt almost like one of those people who doesn't have a life and can just go sit in a church all day.
