ooc: Takes place a few years ago, right after Sasha moved to LA.

"What do you mean you can't make it?" Sasha asked, cradling the phone between her shoulder and her ear. Since he was obviously canceling on her at the last fucking minute again, she killed the ignition and looked back at the apartment building. Shane was still right where she left him, maybe he would be willing to cheer her up. Maybe he wanted to be a better friend than her so-called best friend who kept pulling this shit on her time and time again.

"Lorelai's got some fucking thing with her family or whatever. I have to go with her, I forgot about it." Miles replied, in a tone so subtly annoyed that she wanted to call him out on this. It wasn't fair that he was doing this to her all of the time. She had just moved to Los Angeles for him. How would he have liked it if she had canceled the move?

"You 'have to'? Or you want to? Because I've been getting ditched for a lot of things that you just 'had to do with Lorelai', and if you're that fucking whipped I'm going to get her an Indiana Jones prop to carry around," Sasha answered, too bothered by what was going on here to care about how it sounded. He shouldn't have let her move if he was going

"I couldn't tell you, I don't even remember what the fuck it is. Relax, will you? I'll be around later. Christ," he insisted. If she was going to guess, she would say his irritation was growing almost as rapidly as hers, but not quite. No. You couldn't be as pissed as Sasha felt at the moment if you were anyone but her.

"Fuck later. I'm not wasting my time on you later. You had plans with me, and you're canceling them to be a good little puppy so that what? So that she doesn't get mad at you? You'd rather have me mad at you now," she sighed. "And if that's what you were going for, you got it. I'm angry. I'm being put in my fucking place. And you know what? If I wanted to live someplace where you were going to ignore me all of the time, I could have just stayed in New York!"

"This isn't ignoring you, what the fuck is wrong with you?! I wouldn't have made the goddamn plans if I'd known I had whatever the fuck this is going on!" He was lucky that, Sasha thought, that they were doing this over the phone. He didn't have to see the expression on her face from his apartment. Her glare was a force to be reckoned with.

"What's wrong with me is I'm in a new city with a shitty best friend who should have fucking told me he was perfectly fucking fine without me before I moved in!" she screamed into the phone. "Have a great time at Lorelai's thing," she snapped, ending the call, turning off the cell phone, and throwing it on the passenger seat. Her moment of rage passed as she caught her breath, looked over at her phone, and burst into tears.

She didn't care if it was irrational. There were countless thoughts she was blocking out of her mind that told her to be a good friend and start to accept that things were different. It had been a lot easier to ignore the changes in their relationship when she was living on the other side of the country, but now she had to face them. If she wanted to stay in his life, she was going to have to accept them eventually. And she would, eventually. When she absolutely had to.

But definitely not today.
