This is my introduction, which states what discussions would be welcome here-if anyone wishes to discuss. Of course, I keep the right to close any or all discussions on this LJ, possibly by disallowing comments. For now, let's see what will be discussed here.

Martial arts. And related topics, too.
What, surprised? Didn't guess it by the title of the blog? Wait, it'll get worse...
Martial arts, discussed with a scientific approach.
Let me elaborate a bit on what is "scientific enough" for me.

If you have a theory that something should work (or work better in a certain way), it's a theory. to make it believable, you need proof.
If you have an explanation, that's fine, as long as you can communicate it to the others. However, you might know it by experience with no theory to explain it. This is a position I respect.

Either way, you need proof. Can you provide records it has been done (witnesses and tapes are a fine way to have records we can check)? If yes, then your claim (might) deserve a further research. Can you explain to others how to do the same? If yes, can they perform the same way, following your advice? If, again, the answer is yes, then you have evidence for what you claim.
If it's not, then it either doesn't work, or is of no use to others but yourself. For the sake of argument, we'll accept these things to be the same. You claims remain an "unverified theory".

Of course, you might consider this to be an unnecessarily harsh standard. It is noone's standard but mine, so you can just avoid posting on this LJ. I am sorry, but I've had enough with would-be and wannabe "masters", so I will stick to this.

I hope you enjoy the posts. And I sure hope you don't expect me to post too often. It is highly unlikely to happen, as I have lots of other work beside martial arts (and I'm looking for more employment).
