O hai, I can has tabs. Dunno if it'll turn into a habit, but it seemed a pity that the tab field should always be left empty.
Hm. That thing where you have known a song for years -- many, many years in this case -- and, while not disliking it, have seen it as something of an interlude between the more interesting stuff, and then all of a sudden you listen a little harder to the lyrics, and go
If language were liquid, it would be rushing in Instead here we are in a silence more eloquent than any word could ever be These words are too solid, they don't move fast enough To catch the blur in the brain that flies by, and is gone The rest.
Those lyrics sorta just registered consciously with me a few weeks ago. Obvious, maybe, but it adreses something I notice a lot. Probably one of the major reasons why I don't blog more often. I admire those (and there are several of you on my f-list, feel free to be flattered if you want to) who turn that blur into long, interesting entries on a regular basis. I realise that this is probably to a not inconsiderable part due to practice. Ah well.
Hmm... the catwatch ended on a rather down note, as the odd behaviour of Eliot, the older of the two felines, turned into a clear there's-something-very-wrong-with-this kind of inability to coordinate his legs, eat much if at all, etc. Furthermore, all the veterinarians in town seemed to have their hands full on Friday, and couldn't really make any kind of useful diagnosis via the phone, obviously. Cue much worrying and feelings of helplessness. After returning home, brother and Alex (auxiliary and main catowned persons) managed to arrange for an emergency vet visit despite weekendness, and it turns out he has meningitis. Ew, nasty, scary disease... he's on meds now, and apparently has been eating and moving around a bit more since then, but I guess it's early to guess how it's going to turn out. Aw, man. Eliot, most laid-back little lap cat ever. I really hope he'll get better. :/
(Gratuitous video linkage of Eliot being pestered by That Obnoxious (And Also Utterly Adorable) Little Brat, Konrad. And deciding that he needs a wash, apparently. Aw.)
Hmmm... I don't know. I'm tired, and the zombies ate my brain. Here, have some cutlery pr0n. (I don't think I need to add any warnings about inappropriateness, WTFery and inherent silliness to that, do I?) |
