Weeow back again, sorry to disappoint those wantin another thing like "The World" but I seem to be in poetry mode lately. Well anywho, onto the latest one entitled "Little Child". Enjoy
Little Child Little one, did the wind finally blow out your light? Small child, has your heart forgotten for who you wait? No, the wind didn't blow it out, it was never there to be blown away. Who is there that deserves to have this troublesome Soul ingrained into them? Young one, did the memories of her clear your mind? Innocent child, where did that essence of honesty we treasured go? I have no one worth remembering in this filthy head Why should one ever be honest with the world full of lies? Growing one, have you finally forgiven yourself? Ignorant child, when did your soul become so clouded? I can never forgive my own transgressions, no matter how just they were My soul was always being corrupted ever since I was born into this world Loved one, when will you finally be a child? Adored child, will you ever appreciate their sacrifices? I will be a child when the world is stripped of its carelessness No sacrifices should be made for me, so none should have any worth Little one, did the wind finally blow out your light? Small Child, has your heart forgotten for who you wait? No, the light has endured against the worst of storms Who she was is gone, but I will always remember her.
Young one, did the memories of her clear your mind? Innocent child, where did that essence of honesty we treasured go? What was once hazy became clear from her words and cannot be repaid It shines through, even in this world of encircling darkness Growing one, have you finally forgiven yourself? Ignorant child, when did your soul become so clouded? The mistakes made are in the past and will be atoned for My soul is weathering a storm brought birthed of malice Loved one, when will you finally be a child? Adored child, will you ever appreciate their sacrifices? I will be a child when the world lacks its dark hunger No sacrifice was in vain, all are worth this weight I bear.
There ya go, another *coughMasterpiececough* poem. Comments and thoughts are appreciated. As is critiqueing |
