The Stakes:
Ashley is engaged to be married to Ridge Forrester, who has had a troubled on-again/off-again relationship with Brooke. Brooke is in recovery after being recently raped, and is drawn once again to Ridge, with whom she's had three prior marriages and who is the father of one of her sons. Brooke has also always maintained that she and Ridge are "destined" to be together. Ashley, seeing Brooke circling her fiancé repeatedly, finally confronts her.
