  • For some reason my mind is littered with Fire and Water AUs. Seriously, take some, they're a dime a baker's dozen. I've got an idea for a By the Truth in Stories -- Sliated among rumors of the Priesthood war, a necromancer named John Doe who hails from Ciri's world, Alerais trying to figure out what he's doing, a Ciri who didn't leave the Academy, &c -- and also for an AU in which Ciri ends up the third Librarian (she has the personality for it, but I doubt that anything but an invasion of the fallen Threshold could kill Nian. Hmm, fallen Threshold, that could be fun...). Come to think, they might be one and the same...
  • Oneliner (30.09.08): when I'm not living with Mom anymore, I wonder if I'll be brave enough to have a life.
  • Oneliner (ditto): I am the one who dreams; reality is my nightmare... Hey, I should make an icon out of that.
  • Oneliner (ditto, I tell you, ditto!): Hold the line against this depression my dad suspects me of, godsblight it!
  • Note (just assume things are from the thirtieth until proven otherwise, kk?): I may not be an obvious coward, but I definitely have a coward's posture: shoulders curved in, head ducked, everything trying to provide a smaller target.
  • Hypothesis: the reason I write long paragraphs is because I write the way I talk, taking a third as many breaths as I should. And I know why I do that... the Variable M interrupts mercilessly, after all, and it's almost worse when she goes 'hm' every time you pause for a comma, semicolon or period, because it makes it so very painfully obvoius that she's not listening.
  • Oneliner: It's kind of sad that my way of dealing with problems is ignore-or-run-away.
  • I've decided the Varaible M's never getting FTLW. It has too much of me in; I can't bear for her to read it, let alone be not-caring-about-stories at it.
  • "I went from C to Ciri that quickly? And back? Ow, whiplash!"
  • (finally, not from the thirtieth but from October) I wonder why I can never entertain the possibility that what I write might be, say, higher average? Maybe because I'm afraid to, because when you think you're doing well it's easier for people to hurt you. I bet you that, even if I get published, I'll still be like, "Huh. People like what I write. I wonder why? Well, cool, gives me something to buy books with." However when next I have any free time I'm going to spend some aimless hours trying to figure out if any publishers solicit random, strange manuscripts from random, strange mundanes like yours truly.
  • It is hot. It is very hot. Not Specified has a very unpleasant climate for four months of the year. And I have a book report soon. Eep.
  • On the movie Iron Man: "I want a brain like that! He is unreasonably intelligent! Why is he misusing it? That's just mean!" and "Okay, so weapons technology's fascinating. I'm still disgusted by the fact that weapons are necessary." (And yes, this is from someone who designed a laser, albeit an impractical one, Way Back Before Her Parents Divorced, ie pre-third-grade. Impractical as in it probably wouldn't work without blowing up, and relied on technobabble. Wait... technobabble-powered weapons... hey, that's an idea. Maybe technobabble's what Ich'ys'doren's creations run on -- and my gods, but he has a hard-to-type and strange-looking name.)
  • Curse you, Gambit, for making me have to detail something I glossed over in FTLW on purpose, because I'm not sure where Naren gets her entirely wacko ideas from but the Librarian has to be! Gah!
  • This is what the History teacher gets for assigning homework, speaking English and saying that the bookmarks he assigned can be on any subject: one says  "In the beginning, there was nothing, which exploded," (Pratchett's phrase, not mine) and the other has the entirety of Lofty Skies (either Nyx Nightingale or hS's poem, depending on how you look at it, not mine). They both, I think, are quite appropriate for History; the first details the making of the Universe (not to be confused with the Unverse, which is boring), the second is the only information a Ciri has ever seen on an interesting bit of the PPC's history.
  • My FCyE teacher, I recently discovered, seems to attempt politically correct homophobia. This is grating. I think I predict a great deal of messing with her mind for her prejudice. Fun.
  • Recently found out that I've been misspelling "eleventh" for a while. [Expletive].
  • "Who are you and why don't you make any sense?"
