Today in English class, we were asked to free write for about ten minutes on the word 'family'. Here is what I wrote, as I wrote it exactly.

Pain, suffering, sacrifice is family. Love to a degree as well. Batman's family. Bruce Wayne orphaned as a child. Dick Grayson/Robin/Nightwing the same. Barbara Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle lost mom and future step-mom to Joker, as well as her mobility. Family is what you make it. Superman/Clark Kent/Ka'el lost his parents when Kryptonite died, but raised by kind childless farmers here on earth. They instilled unicorns and sunshine into him, so all the world is happy--except Lex Luthor and others like him. The Joker--who is his family, before he was? Scarecrow/J. Crane, what was his family like? Really scary, he's into fear and and the reaction of the human body to fear. Cillian Murphy's hot! But Heath Ledger's way hotter! Too bad he's dead, though. I'm in denial about that. Poor Michelle, she'll never really get to know how great a man her dad was. Why? Was it really suicide? What is up with Mary Kate Olsen's role in his death, anyways? That's so weird and odd. My hackles are up. My gut instinct is that everything is not as it seems. Michelle looks so much like her father! Gods, why did he have to die so young, he was only nine years older than me!
