After ALL of the joint inflammation recently from dairy contamination thought it might be a good idea to take some Glucosamine for joint repair. After all the Dog is on it, and takes it twice a day in biscuit form. And the wife takes it every day.

So I took a Glucosamine tablet.

/>Two hours later both my knees had swollen up again. The right knee especially, with pain radiating from the joint.

Went to the bathroom and checked it out: There was a shellfish warning on it, as it contained crab lobster shrimp and one other sea bug.

As Lobster Sushi sent me thru a world of pain recently...

*Sigh*

I am so fucking tired of all this.

Having to be super strick Vegan not for philosophical reasons, because NOT doing so puts me in a continual world of pain.

Can I find a Vegan Glucosamine supplement? Almost all shell fish has gone off the menu. Trout, Salmon, Tuna (raw only), Maceral (Raw only), Yellow Tail...anything with a spine seems to be OK. I used to love eating broiled muscles. Still safe? What of Live Giant Clam? Octopus? Squid?

*weep*

This is the biggest dietary crisis since I had to fess up to my Dairy Allergy and Give up all my delicious and beloved cheeses, especially the Age'd, Smoked, and Extremely Active Culture runny cheeses.

Maybe I should become some kind of Hindu or Buddhist Yogi, as it's getting to the point where my diet would be prefect for some one not wanting to eat an ensouled suffering animal.

Either that, or wait another century until Nano Tech gets to the point where I can have my immune system, which I was born with in "Switched On, Attack Mode", adjusted so it doesn't see most of everything as some kind of invader.

Enough of my whining.

Senor Roberto didn't get home from the Hospital today until nearly 6 PM. He had been there since 7:30 AM.

Tomorrow he doesn't get home from Radiation until 5 PM.

On his Birthday.

His nose bandage covering the hole in his face has not being doing its' work, so he went to the costume store and bought several "Phantom of the Opera" Masks and adjusted it just a little. Even the Doctors were impressed today, no one had even thought of doing that. He's thinking of setting up a special version for people with face cancer.

Storm didn't have his birthday present ready yet: A Catholic Rosary made from Tibetan Skull Beads. So I took over my current copies of THE TAO OF POAH and the TE OF PIGLET for him. This is the third or forth time I've ended up giving these books to some one in a period of their life when they were faced by complication and suffering.

Roberto had never read anything on Taoism. So he's taking both books with him to the Hospital tomorrow, and will read them during the following week(s).

Kinda a sucky way to spend a birthday.

And wondering again if I should just shuck all my Western Pretense and complication and embrace the Tao.

Will be signing off now for the night, as that maintenance run is coming.
