So today as I went to go switch my laundry around, my door got stuck. No matter how much i turned the knob, it wouldn't open. So after some fiddling, i got it open. So i examined it, and took apart the knob. It turned our the rod that runs through the front of the door that both knobs attach to, was totally stripped. At least one one side it was. So i flipped it around, because you don't have to turn the knob to get in, just push. So I did that and got it all in place, closed the door, and i was stuck again. This time the knob wouldn't even turn. I tried loosening it, still wouldn't even turn. I noticed when i tried to turn it, the jam moved a little. So I did that, then shoved a flat head in there and pushed the jam the rest of the way in. Luckily I got it open. So i took out the knob, and taped the jam shut. The upper bolt still worked so i could keep my door locked. My landloard is coming by tomorrow morning to replace the knob.


So the street in front of my apartment is completely torn up. They're replacing some kind of pipes, i dunno. So I get up to my apartment and... no water at all. Great. Can't use the toilet because theres no tank, its like a public toilet. Still, i go down to wallgreens and get some gallons of water. I just hope they get the work done soon. It's a little ridiculous.
