Well, last night I got the first good, clean night of sleep I've had all week. Nearly 10 hours straight. I woke up at 0830, surprised to be waking up at 0830. The fever's dropped down to 100.4 and doggedly held there all day, but I'm not feeling it anymore. I'm also eating again, which is something I don't think I mentioned earlier. Between Monday and Wednesday inclusive, I think I consumed something like 2300 calories, including drinks. Not good. But, now I'm back on the "eating" wagon again.

I still have a bugger of a cough, but its manageable. I haven't taken any TheraFlu since yesterday. So while I'm not going to be hanging out with anybody any time soon, I believe I'm on the road to recovery.

A funny side-note from the shower this evening; I was thinking about a song I have in my car's CD player, which I hadn't heard in a while because, well, my car has been idle since Sunday night. I opened my mouth to start singing it and out came a sound like baby fox being stepped on. It was only then I realized that I hadn't actually used my voice in four days. I haven't encountered another human being in a context I would want to speak to them, and as all my imaginary friends are deceased or incarcerated, there was no reason to use it in all that time. All the coughing probably didn't help, either.

In any event, I will be better by Sunday. I know because I'm flying to the Seven Cities to help a client there with some trouble shooting. Unfortunately, between that and my self-imposed quarantine, I will be going 11 days straight without personal social interaction. On the upside, I know I can go at least 20 days before I start going off my rails.
