I was looking at Anita Page's IMDb entry and found this tidbit in the trivia section:

In an interview in 2004, she revealed that her early retirement had been due to her refusal to give in to Irving Thalberg's (he was married to Norma Shearer at the time) and Louis B. Mayer's sexual advances.

You know how I feel about Mr Thalberg. Can any of you confirm or deny this> Does anyone have any more information.

I'm just...stunned, to say the least. I know we don't a lot about Mr Thalberg or Norma, especially on their marriage because Norma was a rather private person where her family life was concerned. But I'd read that because of Irving's condition, he couldn't be overly active. I mean, from what I read, Norma LOVED sex and often had to hold back and save it for her love scenes because Mr Thalberg was unable to keep up with her demands.

So, why would he have to look elsewhere?! I just see those pictures of them together and they look so in love. :(
