I can't wait until this election is over. I am so sick of the so called election bullshit. Also, isn't the media supposed to be biased? Fox News has a hard on for McCain and Republicans, while MSNBC is backing Obama and the Democrats. Last year, when the race was starting to shape up, I was thinking that if McCain and Obama faced off in the race, I was going to struggle with who to vote for. Ends up, not so. I think both will screw up, it's just a matter of with what and how badly; I think Obama will have trouble internationally and McCain domestically. As more time passes, the more firmly my vote goes to Obama, as I think he'll screw up least and what as experience brought us? To me, McCain is like a grumpy old man, pissed off that this young upstart is challenging what he feels his destiny. The more coverage I watch of McCain, the more I feel he is either senile or selling his soul to the devil. Enough bullshit. This will probably be the last I talk about it until election night. I don't like to discuss politics, as I feel it leads to nothing but stupid arguments.

So, I got a FF.net PM tonight. Basically it said while he liked my writing, he felt one thing hurt me, and that was length. I'm off two minds on this. While I prefer quick reads, not that I actually read much fanfiction anymore, I feel adding more would improve the quality of my writing. I just can't figure out how. At some times, the material is just there and other times, I have to force it out. But in either case, how do you create more? I think this is another reason why I keep putting off Time. I want this to be my best story, but I feel that my plot lacks substance to satisfy me. I really do believe that self is one's worst critic. Any other writers have any ideas or suggestions?

Still waiting on Part 12 of Shadow Alliance to be returned from beta, and I've sent off my response to [info]hp_rarepairs threesome challenge. I've never written anything outside of the traditional male/female pairing. I wanted to show that this was more than just sex/smut as I've seen so many stories be. Especially coming from a male writer. It was hard getting everything in roughly 1000 words, and make the relationships work, especially the female/female relationship. We'll see how well I did when I get my beta's notes back.
