I ditched another concert I had tickets for and decided to go to Alabama to see yet another Wrock show!
So last Saturday I left early for Birmingham, not realizing how "close" it was and that there was a time difference, which meant that I got there 5 hours early! It wasn't that bad.
The wait was worth it. They let us inside
the library and we had to wait until a little past 6pm for them to open the doors. There were about 100 people there.
Funny moment: At one point Tyler was on his cell and opened the door to the room where we were all waiting (I guess for some quiet) and when he saw all of us, his eyes flew open. I wish I'd had my camera ready =)
It was so great to see the guys again. When I went up to Justin, he told me that he saw me waiting outside and that he called Alex and said 'look who it is!', which
pretty much made my day! He's just such a nice guy.
So they were all standing behind the merch table, and I said hi to Matt, and when I got up to Alex, he came around the table and gave me a big panda hug and we talked for a bit, and I also bought another of his t-shirts :)
The Mudbloods were also there and I felt bad cause no one was talking to them, so I went up to Adam, told him how much I love his music and that the song Ginny and Me had been my alarm for months.
So after changing into my new TRL shirt, the show started and since
I decided to not film it (since I'd already done so twice) it was so much more fun. I could sing and dance and JFF's set is just so much fun! He was awesome! And it was even better when Matt started playing the drums and Alex played percusions and bass!
Then The Mudbloods played and I love their music! There's just this epic quality to it, I don't know how else to describe it. They're just amazing!
Matt unfortunately had problems with Whompy Jr, who got sick and couldn't play, so he was a little frustrated when he got out, but for the last few songs, Justin played Bass and Alex played drums and it was truly EPIC to watch them all play. I love Whompy, especially when he wrocks out!
The Remus Lupins were amazing as usual, even though the
Death Eaters were trying to ruin the audio equipment. At least I was in the first row and could hear Alex fine. Another perk about being in the front row was that Alex looked at me in the eyes like 3 times while he was singing. I know this because the girls next to me kept glaring at me, especially when he sang "So don't you ever doubt that I love you" I was kind of fearing for my life ; ) When he did his
story time songs, everyone grouped around him and since I couldn't see anything, I found a chair, pulled it up and stood on it. It was awesome that he sang Teddy and Victoire acoustic. I think there were only three of us that actually knew the lyrics.
The entire night was amazing and worth
the trip. Afterwards, I bought JFF's EP and got it signed, same with The Mudbloods. I got a t-shirt from Whompy. Then I got photos with everyone there, although Alex definitely wins!
