Well, the day is done and so is our bank account. The emergency part of our savings is, anyhow. The bottom line is that the water line break was under our property and it ended up costing us $3500.00. Ouch! I felt upset and relieved all at the same time. Upset at the cost and relieved that it didn't cost as much as I originally thought.

Oskgar, when you're done with that hammer, can I borrow it? I wanna bang it on the top of my head for a bit cause it has to feel better when I stop.

The good news is that it took less than a day to diagnose and fix. Oh! And they told us that had we contested the repairs the City would have put a lein on the house for $10K. I guess they've had to deal with the occasional deadbeat cause it sounded really routine the way the guy said it.

At least tomorrow is Friday.
