I have no idea what time-zone my body is running on, possibly ISS-time. I do know that this is the longest in years I've been clean of sleep-drugs of any kind, sleep comes when it gets a chance.

The drop-in to Shepparton turned into a 24-hour stopover since the evening bus/train to Melbourne only runs on Fridays now... kinda annoying, but got to spend some more time with Mum. The funeral did prove to me that some people can take petty bullshit too far, resulting in me coming very close to 'having words' with a friend of my brother, and deciding that a rift in the family isn't worth repairing.

Neither is keeping the family name. It has been a thought for quite some time, it is now an action I am putting into practice... just need to decide what name.

Was a bit upset I didn't get to see my little-sisters kids, but I did see photos Mum has of me nursing them last-year after the wedding... and after the bashing. Two cute kids, and a rather sore and bruised uncle. Memories of a country-town that added to Thursdays reminder that the place I left, and the person I left there, is best left behind.

The fire brigade made a guard of honour for the funeral (My brother was also a member) which was nice to see, as it meant I got to catch up with members I've not seen in a long time. One of the few things I miss of my life there.

But couldn't wait to get out.

In altona now, waiting for missmilky to return from the pub. Was to scattered/exhausted to considder two nights out, so decided sleep and rest tonight was a good idea, as it will leave me energy to actually enjoy DV8 tomorrow night. And to go shopping tomorrow... the upside to all my recent working is the large invoices I put through on Thursday night...

Speaking of, one of the boss'(UK) are attempting to negotiate the rate for me gettiing up at 3am to do work for them. Since boss(Syd) and I already negotiated a rate, and boss(uk) was told that rate, I found his email with the line of "we can try and increase your rate ever so slightly." quite offensive.

Might let boss(Syd) do the discussing on that, since my reply would be quite abrupt. Boss(Syd) has explained to them the rate we discussed, explained that I am getting up at 3am to do the work while on a planned break AND dealing with the death of a family member, and they want to discuss "increasing the rate ever so slightly"? How does Fuck You sound?
