Spore arrived yesterday (a day early - good old Gameplay!), and Tom has been playing it rather obsessively. I played for a little while today and it's wonderful fun, though I don't feel myself getting completely sucked into it as I was expecting to. I enjoyed playing it but after an hour I felt I had played for long enough and could put the game down, which I think is ideal. There may be an element of having played Creature Creator before ruining some of the fun of creating and evolving my creature, but it's still very enjoyable. :)

With it being set to be a foul-weathered weekend I intend to spend Saturday and Sunday at home, possibly wearing pyjamas all day. I'm going to try and do some organising of stuff - photographs, finances, some wedding stuff and so on.

Speaking of which, I have a lot to look forward to this season wedding-wise! October/November we get to go and speak to Larmer Tree Gardens (the location of our reception) to sort out a few initial detials, as well as start thinking about things like menu choices, decorations, and giant jenga. Then in December my dress should be in the shop for my first fitting! Joy! When September started all of a sudden it felt very grey and autumnal, but remembering all the fun stuff I get to do soon makes all this wind and rain more bearable. :)
