So I finally broke my book hiatus by finishing my 32nd book this year. I still have a long way to go to reach my goal of 50 books. With only 4 months ahead, I have 18 books left as target and it means I have to read at least one a week.

Since my schedule is very busy for this month and next, I am a bit pessimistic about this. Except if I try to read all of the easy reads for the next 4 months - easy reads meaning romance novel or detective/mystery thriller books. Unfortunately, romance novels sort of lose their appeal on me, basically because I haven't found a new author that I love yet. I have been sort of leaving my "old" romance authors because their stories have become repetitive and boring. So, I prefer to look for new authors.

I am starting my 33rd book though - it is entitled The Bloomsday Dead by Adrian McKinty. It is a detective/mystery/thriller genre, a genre that I also love. I have his previous 3 (three) titles and I love the way McKinty tells his story. It's flowing nicely ... although I must say his scenes of violence are like in a mafia movie, lots of blood and bashing skulls and shooting heads and breaking bones ... some thing that I usually stay away from if it is on movies. But since this is a book, I don't really have to truly visualize it in my head. So far, I have reached page 60 and it is looking good.

I'm waiting for Bones episode premiere to be available on Rapidshare (which I am sure will be soon). Then, I can watch it along with the last episode of The Closer.
