I can’t begin to tell you how HORRIFIED and DISGUSTED I was to read this . . .

Pupils accused of anti-Jewish behavior

At least four students from a suburban St. Louis middle school are accused of hitting Jewish classmates during what they called “Hit a Jew Day.”

District spokesman Paul Tandy said it appears that fewer than 10 Jewish students (Fewer?  Are you kidding me?  One is too fucking many!!!!!) were struck at Parkway West Middle School in Chesterfield in the incident last week. Tandy said it began with an unofficial “Spirit Week” among sixth-graders that started with “Hug a Friend Day,” then “High Five Day.” Then, some students came up with “Hit a Tall Person Day” and, finally, “Hit a Jew Day.”

Students who hit classmates could face suspension and required counseling, Tandy said. (“Could” face suspension? How about expulsion?) Those who taunted Jewish students or egged on classmates could face lesser penalties. (Oh yeah, because that wasn’t quite as bad, right?)

This makes me sick, sick, sick . . .

And people wonder why it’s still important to talk about things like the Holocaust . . .
