I know a lot of people say the children of a candidate should be off limits.  To the extent of talking to the children, I agree.  Where we should, no MUST, talk about this topic is how it reflects upon the judgement, actions, and walking the talk of the candidates.

The Republicans run as the moral / religious party and/or candidates.  They have people questioning the morality and religious beliefs of Democrat candidates, especially Barak Obama, who many Republicans say is a Muslim (which he isn't).  So, when the possible next Vice President of these United States of America has a daughter who got pregant at 16 and out of wedlock I feel we must discuss it.

I'm not questioning the daughter nor want to make her life difficult, I'm questioning the ability of Sarah Palin to lead this country based upon her results as a Mother.  The quality of her and her husband's teaching of morality and directing their children must be on the table, when it comes to discussing her fitness to be possibility the next President of these United States of American.  Don't forget John McCain, if elected, would be be the oldest President ever to serve a first term and at 72 would serve till he is 80, if elected for two terms.

Bottom line:  Do you really want as President of The United States of American someone who hasn't even discussed successful birth control with their children?

And yes, I feel discussing how Barak Obama is raising his children to be a valid discussion, but only as far as it deals with the candidate.  This is the same limit as I put upon discussing Sarah Palin, Joe Biden, or John McCain.

So, how do you feel about discussing this aspect of a candidate considering the Republicans sell themselves as the moral and religious compass of this country?
