Earlier today, I got a message from a newbie who's pet I had to remove from the halls because they were zapping them. My message to them: "Hi there! I'm Ariel, and I'm an adoptee updater. I help add pets into the adoption halls at TNO. I deleted -insert petname here- from the halls because you're in the process of zapping him at the moment. Whenver you stop zapping, feel free to re-add him to the halls. ^___^ Thank you! <3 Ariel"

Their reply? "I hate you"

Yeahhhh.

It actually really surprised me at first, and then made me laugh at how ridiculous it was. I mean, come on now. Totally uncalled for, and a rather idiotic choice on their part. I ended up telling some TNOers in the chat about it, and their reactions made me feel better. <3

Vicky laughed, so she had the same opinion as me. xD Meepit was shocked, as was Jules. She suggested I post the message on the AU board, or at least tell someone about it, so I did. Gwennie, of course, because she's the council member that I like to poke with all my questions. *hugsquish* She was very supportive, and told me that whenever something like that happens...tell a council member.

Normally, I would've blown off the crazy newbie's reply. That was actually my plan. But then I realized...I don't want anyone else to have someone be rude to them like that. Especially not any fellow staff members that might have to deal with this user in the future, or any of the awesome forum members that he might insult if he joins.

So, what started as just a laugh evolved into some thinking on my part (<- omg, I know! Shocker! :o ). I really love TNO. :] The people there are just amazing. It makes me happy just to be around everyone...to be a part of a community that's so kind and helpful to the point of near insanity. (And I love you TIers, too. And TBWers! And THSers...and of course those darn TDWers. :D )
