I had two strange dreams this weekend and both seem to have an obvious theme.  I'm nervous about going to Furry Fiesta.  Hopefully I can get over this.  Usually I don't remember dreams, so the fact that I do remember must be important...

I was driving late at night through this subdivision and saw this black wolf fursuiter just hanging out in a driveway.  I didn't think much of it and kept driving, but then turned around when I saw another suiter (don't remember the species) walking toward the wolf.  I followed him in my car, turning the lights on so he could see in the dark.  Dunno why they weren't turned on before.  Anyway, so he got to the wolf's house and they ran inside.  I parked then knocked on the door.  This total goth chick answered the door holding a baby and I tried to ask her questions about suiting and she didn't want to help me at all.  She denied the fact that there were suiters in her house even though I could see them.  That's all I remember of that one.
>My best friend Zai and I were at Furry Fiesta.  For some reason it was in Grapevine instead of Addison.  We got in line and got our room key.  The clerk showed us a map of where our room was, so we headed off for it.  When we got there though, there was this huge tiled room with double bunk beds with green itchy covers.  Each bunk had a curtain hanging from the ceiling that was supposed to give you privacy.  I was pissed but she was like don't worry about it.  I was yelling about if I'd known this place was going to be so crappy, I would have stayed at home. Later, we were at this table with a bunch of crayons and long strips of paper.  We were making badges even though they looked nothing like the badges I've seen before.  There was a little kid there and we were putting Lion King stickers on the colored badges.  Someone had taken most of the good ones, but I did manage to get a Hyena.  Next thing I know, Zai is in line for registration and then comes back to the table with my "official" badge.  The name on it said Julie Lee David.  I was laughing and asked where she came up with that.  She goes "You know where I got it from."  Apparently I did, and put it on and we left that table.  We walked across the street to this other building and got in line for cake.  I had this weird sadness come over me because I just noticed that this was taking place on Saturday afternoon and we had missed like 1/2 the con.  That's when my alarm went off.

Quite an interesting pair.  Guess as with everything, I need to get over the stupid shyness and meet some people before I go to the con so I won't feel so isolated.  Zai is going which will be awesome.  She's not furry, but she seems to understand and I know she wants to see me act a fool in my new suit.

That's another thing I'm worried about.  I've never suited before, just looked on with envy.  My sister was the mascot for her college one year and I keep asking her questions about it.  She probably thinks that I'm nuts.  Anyway, I think it will be fun, but I am nervous about playing the part of a dopey dog.  Surely it can't be that hard, eh?  I am going to practice before the con, just need a place to go play.  Also going to make Zai take some pictures.  I can't wait to get it, but I must be patient.  I feel I'm beyond fortunate to be able to get a really nice suit as fast as I am.  Some people have to wait over a year.  I dunno how they do it!
