AN: Look I’ve almost caught up!


“Padfoot, you need to sleep.”

“I don’t trust those bloody children to pay enough attention.”

“You haven’t slept taken your eyes off that bloody map since yesterday morning. It’s been 36 hours. If you don’t let up, you’ll miss something too.”

“Peter was in Gryffindor Tower! He was in the same place where Harry sleeps! I don’t trust any of them enough any longer.”

“Let me have a shift then. Sleep! Eat! Run around as Padfoot and chase your tail! You need a break.”

“You need your sleep, Moony. Full moon tomorrow night.”

“The transformations aren’t half so bad with the Wolf’s Bane potion. I’ll be fine. I could even make Moony take a nap. Please baby.”

“Remus, He Was In The Castle!”

“I know, love, I know! But driving yourself mental isn’t helping.”

“Is it still snowing?”

“Yes.”

“I have aurors with blood hounds, and of course Hagrid and Fang, patrolling the perimeter of the grounds.”

/>“Please let me, or anyone else, watch the map for a bit. Dumbledore even volunteered!”

“No!”

The candle on the table flickered. Remus summoned another from the cabinet on the other side of the room. He lit the new taper as the other guttered and went out. Remus put the new candle into the holder and sat down next to his husband.
