To make up for no wrestling reviews this weekend...

Last Weekend's Incident, One Week Later

Last weekend, you had all that shinola go down which led to all the wrestlers no-showing the I Believe In Wrestling show. After a few days it died down. So, of course I'm going to bring it up again. But, there's a good reason why I'm doing so. After all, when YOU are partly connected to the whole mess…

Due to what has been said about the schmozz, including Bruce Santee explaining why he no-showed , I will explain what apparently happened. Two separate things occurred; how A connects with B, I'm still not sure, but I'll present it anyway.

A. At the UEPW show last Friday, Keith Blonde ran in on a 4 way ladies match, which wasn't supposed to happen.

B. All those wrestlers no-showed the I Believe In Wrestling show the next night. They did it in part or wholly because Mister Saint Laurent, who was at the UEPW event, recently said some awful comments in a messageboard thread towards Kory Chavis's girlfriend. Of course, that thread is devoted to ME and for some reason, when his girlfriend defended me (which of course I always appreciate) MSL started attacking her. So that's how I'm involved in the mess…

Now, I don't know what else happened… you know, the stuff that hasn't been made public yet. Did MSL shoot his mouth off on Friday night and say further libelous comments concerning Kory's g/f? You know, something along those lines. No matter the case, we at least have an explanation for all the people not being at Believe. While I'm not sure if two wrongs make a right (the first wrong of course being MSL having some sort of episode and no-showing the last Riot show due to his mental problems), they were trying to stand up and support Kory, which is understandable.

While B is explained, I can't quite understand why A happened. I mean, it wasn't MSL or any of his friends that told Keith to run in on a woman's match… the people who were behind A haven’t been taken to task like the people involved with B have. A male wrestler running in on females wrestling is what bothers me, among other things. What did the ladies have to do with anything? Nothing, as far as I can tell.

So yeah, an unfortunate situation that I unluckily ended up being a part of, and it doesn't look like anyone came out of it looking like a winner. Hopefully this is the last time I have to discuss it. I do have to note that after last weekend, there was a thread on WG's board which was about the incident, and of course the person who started it and the thread itself were banished forever. I never got to look at it, so I can't say for certain how dumb it was for it to be deleted, but it sounds like the typical BS on the board, which as I've said for a LONG time now, should be called "The Mister Saint Laurent Messageboard Version 2.0", as that's exactly what it is. It "pushes an agenda" and is totally unlike the Florida Wrestling Fans board.

If you still doubt that the board is the shits, look at this Ron Killings thread, a poll concerning J.P. Gilbert and a guy named JP, and an Olympics thread that of course ended up being a complete failure in every aspect.

Onto Much Better News

If you take another look at the Jeff Peterson Cup website, you will see it's updated with new information, including the first four competitors (Gran Akuma, Jigsaw, Chris Gray, and Chris Jones; a nice start) and the fact that it's a two day tournament now (a good idea, IMO), with the 26th being in Port Richey and the 27th in Brooksville. I'll be at both shows, and with bells on.

Even better news concerns young Devin, the little tyke that is the beneficiary of all the money that the JPMC will raise this year. This thread states that the cancer is gone from his bone marrow, meaning that his cancer is one less stage in severity. That is great news, especially considering it came right after the whole brouhaha last weekend. Let's all hope that weekend is drama-free. Given threads like this, I have a feeling that will end up being the case. Let's hope the toadies actually act respectful at the event and don't do the stupid shit they did at the shows last year… for example, attempting to blind me with a laser pointer! Then again, during the Friday night show last year, they had the "bright" idea of crafting a storyline where a wrestler bragged about being a lazy piece of shit who paid off people to achieve success, and he ended up winning TWO matches that night, including a prestigious annual multi-person cage match. What a brilliant storyline to run during a prominent indy tournament that pays tribute to a late wrestler AND usually benefits a young child stricken with cancer. There better not be any of that poppycock this year!

Other Tidbits

It's a shame that FXE didn't have a show this weekend, but I still went out and about. A little later in the night, I will post a new MySpace blog where I will discuss what I did last night; yeah, it probably is what you're thinking I did! While this weekend was wrestling-free, next weekend is FIP on Saturday night and then GEAR the next afternoon. I have high hopes for both events.

I have to mention some more of Kirby Mack's comments at the I Believe In Wrestling event from last weekend. A kid in the front row had on a Cena t-shirt. Kirby noticed that and told the youngster that unlike Cena, he didn't stick any syringes in his ass! Ouch. He also noticed Robdog (or RobDog, or however you want to type it out) in the audience, pointed him out, and said that Mr. Dog "is a wannabe rock star with dyed hair!" For you Robdog haters (and judging by messageboard convo's, some people are in that camp), feel free to chortle or whatever.

Here are some random YouTube videos. By the way, if you're the type that wants to download YouTube videos, there's always DVD Video Soft… not that I would ever use such a service…

Anyway, for awhile I've known that there was an FIP World Heavyweight Title defense in Texas last year, of all places, for a promotion known as PCW. It was Roderick Strong vs. Aaron Eagle. Well, I stumbled upon it just a few hours ago. Here is the bout.

Ray Beez has a YouTube page here, where you can see highlights and clips.

Finally, there is Kocosports.com's YouTube page. It is here, where you can view old ACW matches.

I'll end this by bemoaning how a hurricane is going to blow through Florida in a short while. That screws up my plans for the upcoming week, but I'll hope for the best, and I'll wish all the readers the best also… except for… just kidding, I wish everyone good luck with the upcoming weather.
