The next issue of Astonishing X-men, which we've been waiting on for a couple months now, hits the stands on August 23. That's still almost a week, and for those overseas, or without a subscription or a well-stocked comic store nearby, it could be longer. Our heroes have been left in a precarious situation, which got me to wondering. . .



When we last saw Scott Summers, he was flat on his back, eyes wide open, in an Emma-induced psychic episode. He's been there for four months in real time now (on the bright side? at least he doesn't know what happened to him in X3. /meta).

So, the question for writers is -- what is Scott dreaming/remembering about/visiting in an alternate dimension? Who is he talking to? What's going on in that traumatized angsty brain we all love?



So, who wants to play? Drop a note here and I'll put up a master list; we can post next Tuesday -- ie, the day before the new issues comes out. Before we all get Jossed by the man behind the verb. Play along, and pimp this! I am only shamed I didn't think of it earlier.
