As I said, I'm home sick today. I'm bored out of my skull.

So, I started doing some research, if you will, for a story I was writing. I came up with this pretty cool fact (pretty cool to me at least).
Those of you who take interest in crime and forensics related screenplays, tv shows, and novels like I do might also appreciate this little bit of info-a sort of tie between industries. Orchids, with the exception of vanilla, are rarely used in perfuming. However, when they are, their fragrances aren't acquired through normal means, but through the use of a gas-liquid chromatograph, or simply a gas chromatograph. Gas chromatographs ,or GCs, are used to identify chemical content. They're mentioned a lot in shows like CSI and NCIS. However, contrary to popular belief, it takes more than 15 minutes to get results. It's really scary to see the "CSI effect", as it's called, screw with the minds of American citizens.

I wish I had orchid perfume. All perfumes I can think of that belong to me are either Estee Lauder or Bath and Body Works knockoffs.

The only perfume commercial I think that I've ever seen, or at least remembered, is the Ad for Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. And even then, only because the lovely James Marsden sings the jingle. And does an awesome job of it too. The ad itself is boring.
Here's the link to it, though, should you wish to hear James. :3

Wait, that's a lie. I remember Anne Hathaway's Magnifique commercial, because the jingle induced pain and my French teacher was ranting about it. Mademoiselle hates the actress for some reason. />I'm sorry if that bored you. XD Moving on.
Thank you, Kate, for getting me addicted to Poupée. >.< Another distraction is just what I needed. XD It is really kinda fun though, I'll admit.
So, I've been looking into bento boxes lately, also part of my rather unorthodox research (my story's unorthodox, so I get away with it). They're these portable lunches that are integrated into popular culture in Japan. I was looking into making a rather eclectic one, using recipes I got from a cooking class I took at Sur La Table over the summer. In trying to find the appropriate term for the delicious French cheese pastries we baked on the second or third day, I misspelled the name, and came up with Gruyère, a town in Switzerland that's apparently a tourist hot spot. The correct term was gougères.

I think I'll just stick to teriyaki salmon and noodles. XD
