As some of you have heard, I was at the PuSh Festival Open Space on Friday and Saturday, talking to theatre people and listening to discussions about collaboration, the use of spaces, engaging the community and numerous other topics. I brought my camera on Saturday, and shot a roll of film.

That day, I was using my camera as a bit of a security blanket. I felt that if I could get some nice photos documenting the event, it could be as good as a verbal contribution (because really, my participation in the discussions was minimal).

I took a lot of portraits, shot the group discussions and the impromptu yoga session that sprung up near the end of the day. More than anything, I really wanted these yoga photos. They would have been awesome, I swear.

Yeah. Would have been... if I'd wound my film onto the spool properly. I'm so mad at myself, disappointed and embarrassed all at the same time that it's making me all sniffly. Argh. ARGH. It really took a lot of effort not to snap at the girl at the Shoppers, who giggled nervously and kept repeating things like, "Nope. Absolutely nothing on this roll." If I didn't know that she was saying stupid things because she was obviously feeling awkward, I might have hit her. I was kind of annoyed that in the beginning, she said that the roll had been very "dark". At any rate, my trip home was spent trying to feel less wretched.

Bah.

Things that have made me happy in the past few days:

- The Hidden Fortress (seen at the Cinematheque with *hessiebell* and *CE*)
- buying new shoes today
- seeing a bunch of my regulars at the store today and have a good laugh with them
- running into *NM* at Palace Grand and hearing him admit that I'm giving him a run for his money in our best-of-three Scrabulous tournament. That's right. Trash talk ME, will you?!
- finding my missing roll of film from the Olympus. Hopefully, this one will actually have something on it
- discovering that I really like chicken and chick pea soup (a Cafe Des Arts creation, which they have named "Chick Chick Soup")

Okay. Now I feel kind of better.
