Okay, I'm back with my new RyoShige multichp fic.  Hopefully it's good....I still have mixed feelings but my beta liked it, so I will post lol.

Summary: When Shige starts spending more time with Koyama, Ryo starts to question their relationship. 

Author’s Note: This idea came from THIS movie and listening to Ai Nante and it’s translation HERE…I dunno.  It’s kind of retarded and I don’t think it’s going to follow exactly what happened in that film, but we’ll see. And it’s probably one of my first times writing angst…so I’m sorry if it’s really lame.  And millions of love and cookies to  quiraikotsufor betaing for me~! ILU♥

 

Chapter 1

 

Ryo walked up the stairs to his apartment quickly, eager to get home and see his boyfriend. The two of them had been really busy lately and hardly had time to spend together; Ryo was occupied with a drama shooting plus Kanjani8 work, while Shige had been kept busy with university. Ryo hated not being able to spend time with Shige and today was the first day in a week where Ryo had finally been able to have some time off, and he knew Shige wasn’t busy either. He wanted to get back home quickly and just relax; snuggling with Shige in their large bed sounded quite appealing to him at that moment. 

However, when he reached the door, a bout of loud laughter reached his ears and Ryo walked into his apartment to find Shige and Koyama sitting on the couch laughing about something or other. 

“Ryo-chan, you’re back!” Koyama said, turning and grinning at Ryo who just nodded at him. 

“You’re back early,” Shige said as Ryo walked over to him. 

“I told you I had the rest of the day off, remember?” Ryo replied before leaning over and placing a gentle kiss against the younger boy’s lips. 

“Ah, you did,” Shige said and Ryo frowned, slightly upset that Shige had forgotten when he had been so excited about it. 

“Ne, Shige, we should get going, or we’ll be late,” Koyama suddenly said and Ryo turned sharply to look at him.

“Where are you going?”                                                                              

“There’s a new movie out that Koyama and I have been wanting to see for a while, so we finally decided to go today,” Shige explained.

“But, I thought we could do something today. We haven’t spent much time together lately,” Ryo said, trying hard to keep the anger from his voice. 

Shige gave him a small smile. “I’ll be back soon, okay, and then we can spend the rest of the night together, I promise.” He then leaned over and gave Ryo a deep kiss. Once he pulled away he asked, “Okay?”

Reluctantly, Ryo nodded and Shige grinned. “I’ll see you later, Ryo,” the younger boy said before heading out the door with Koyama.

Ryo peeked his eyes open, looking at the alarm clock on the small end-table next to the bed. He frowned to himself as he stared at the bright neon numbers that read two-thirty a.m. He stiffened as the bed dipped slightly beside him as Shige joined him, situating himself beneath the covers and then turning to snuggle against Ryo’s back. 

The older man closed his eyes, trying to forget about the promises made earlier that day. It wasn’t as if he’d waited all night for Shige’s return. No, not at all.

“Ryo, I said I was sorry, didn’t I?” Shige said.

“I know,” Ryo said as he stared at the book he was reading and half-ignoring Shige who had been trying to apologize to him constantly for the last ten minutes about the previous night. The rest of the group watched in slight fascination. For once it was Shige trying to pry Ryo’s attention from a book, and not the other way around.

“I really am sorry!” Shige exclaimed.

“I know. But I’m still mad.”

Shige leaned close to Ryo’s ear and whispered, “I can make it up to you…anyway you want.”

Ryo paused in turning the page of his book and even though he really was angry, he couldn’t help but be turned on. He turned to Shige and grinned at the younger boy’s smirk. But just as he grabbed Shige’s collar and tugged him close and pressed their lips together, something wet smacked them both in the face. 

“Pi, gross!” Ryo shouted, throwing Yamapi’s wet towel back at him. 

“No making out while the rest of us are in the room!” Yamapi exclaimed with a glare.

Ryo just grinned. “You love it,” he taunted and Yamapi chucked a shoe at him. 

“Shut up you,” Yamapi snapped. 

Ryo turned back to Shige and said, “So, when are you planning on making it up to me? How about tonight?”

“I can’t tonight,” Shige said. 

“Why not?”

“Koyama and I are meeting up with some friends of ours we haven’t seen for awhile.”

“But—”

Just then Koyama walked into the dressing room and Shige turned to greet him, the two quickly discussing their plans for later that night. Ryo watched from the side, a frown adorning his face and his eyes narrowed in anger and, though he wouldn’t admit it out loud, jealousy.   He knew and accepted the fact that Koyama was Shige’s best friend. He knew that the two of them had been friends far longer than Shige and Ryo had been dating and he was fine with that. He wasn’t fine, however, with the fact that Koyama somehow always seemed to come first. Shige had been complaining about how he was so busy lately, and yet he could spare time to be with Koyama. If he could do that, why couldn’t he find time to spend with Ryo?

Ryo snapped out of his thoughts when he felt something on his shoulder. Looking down, he found Shige resting his head against him, a look on content on his face. Ryo’s anger immediately vanished as he placed an arm around the younger boy’s shoulder and pressed a soft kiss on his forehead. 

Ryo supposed he could deal with Shige hanging out with Koyama more than he had lately. If it allowed him to be with Shige like this, he felt he could deal with anything.

“You could have called to say you’re going to be back late!” Ryo exclaimed.

“I’m sorry. I thought you’d be asleep! I didn’t want to wake you,” Shige replied. 

“How do you think I could be peacefully asleep when you’re not here? It’s fucking four in the morning, Shige. I was worried.”

The younger boy sighed before walking up to Ryo and hugging him. “I love you, you know that right?” Shige whispered. “I’m sorry for making you worry, but I was fine. I was just with Koyama and we were having fun and before we realized it—”

Ryo pulled away from Shige’s grasp and said, “Koyama. You’re always freaking with him, Shige. What the hell’s going on?”

“Nothing! Why would you ask that? Koyama’s my best friend, you know that, Ryo. We were just hanging out.”

“If you have the time to hang out with Koyama then why—” Ryo shut his mouth and looked away, not willing to get into this yet. He’d told himself he could try and deal with a little more, but it got that much harder each day. 

“Why what, Ryo?” Shige asked, taking a tentative step forward and reaching for Ryo’s hand.

Ryo jerked his arm away and Shige’s eyes widened in surprise. “Sorry,” the older man said. “I’m going to go for a walk.”

“What! But it’s four in the morning! Ryo—come back!” Shige exclaimed but Ryo had already walked out of the door, slamming it shut behind him.

When Ryo returned about three hours later, he found Shige sitting on the couch with his legs pulled up against his chest and his arms wrapped tightly around them. The younger boy turned at the sound of the door and their eyes met. 

“I’m sorry,” both said instantaneously and Shige laughed while Ryo let out a small smile. 

Ryo walked over and sat down beside Shige on the couch before he put his arms around him and then kissed him deeply on the lips. He pulled away a moment later and grinned when Shige groaned in protest. 

Ryo stroked the younger boy’s hair and said, “Come on, let’s get some sleep.”

Shige nodded and the two made their way to the bedroom but as they snuggled down together, Shige’s cell phone went off and before Ryo could tell him not to, he’d answered, suddenly grinning. 

“No, I’m not that busy, Koyama, what’s happened?” Shige asked, sitting up and pressing the phone closer to his ear. 

Ryo stared at him for a moment, his eyes narrowed in anger before he got out of bed, grabbed his coat from the closet and left the room, Shige not even acknowledging his departure.

“Ryo-chan, what’re you doing here? It’s not even eight o’clock and it’s our day off,” Yamapi whined as he stared at the irate figure standing on his doorstep. 

“Shut up, Pi. I’m just staying here for now, okay. I won’t bug you or anything. Just let me use your couch,” Ryo said, inviting himself in.

“Wait, what happened?” Yamapi asked, now concerned.

“Nothing, just…nothing,” Ryo said. “Can I stay? If not, I’ll go over to Jin’s.”

“No, it-it’s fine,” Yamapi said and Ryo gave him a small smile in thanks before heading down the hall and to the living room where he made himself comfy on the couch.

Yamapi followed him and watched as his friend laid down and pulled the afghan on the end of the couch over himself as a blanket. “Are you going to tell me what happened or do I have to guess?” NewS’ leader asked.

“Go to sleep Pi,” Ryo said. “I’ll tell you about it later.”

“Is this something about Shige—”

“Pi, go to sleep,” Ryo repeated angrily and Yamapi sighed.

“He loves you, just…don’t forget that, okay?” Yamapi said quietly before heading down to his bedroom, leaving Ryo laying on his couch and staring up at the ceiling for hours to come, wondering if what Yamapi had said could really be true.
