This is another photograph that I found at an antique store in our town - "W. F. Bristholle [sp?] & Niece Minnie", who appear to be having a great time! I believe that one of them must have just purchased a new car, because that is a 1940 Chevy coupe.

I found this tintype (ferrotype) at an antique store in Lyndon, Washington (USA). As you can see, it is in a fairly advanced state of deterioration, and there is nothing written on the back to indicate who this young man was, or where he came from. My guess, based mainly on the style of his clothing, is that it dates to somewhere between the 1860s and 1880s. However, I would love to get some...
