I think I'd rather take the heat than this thunderstorm garbage . It's getting annoying. And boring. It's also making everyone on the damn squad restless.
Just a quick post from work (on my lunch break) because I'll be away this weekend, trying to brand cattle in Wyoming (but it may be too wet ). See you all on Monday; have a good weekend! They're calling seven inches of snow tomorrow night. Some say maybe tonight. I highly fucking doubt that. It never snows here. I went to Wal-Mart today and the place was packed with people buying food and shit with the belief that it will snow either tonight or tomorrow night. I've been trying to find a job to get some money. My efforts have been futile due to the fact the every position at...
I mentioned a while back about a plea by rural Alaskans for help, it seems now that CNN has finally gotten the message, as well, and have posted an article about it. They're still struggling, and due to a statute in Alaskan law, the state government can't declare a state of emergency and, therefore, can't send out help organizations, such as the Alaskan Red Cross. This weather is making me so happy. Too bad I worked all day yesterday and missed it. And too bad I feel like total and utter crap right now. And too bad there's threat of a big snow storm tomorrow. Also too bad I have to work overnights the next two days. Especially since I feel like such crap right now. I think I have a fever. ;0; I'm just gonna curl up on the couch and watch a movie. ]:
I've lived here most of my life and I maintain that temperatures like this are unacceptable unless it is going to snow. Well it's not snowing, so I'm not ok with it. An hour ago it was "feels like 6," SIX DEGREES! A single digit. Ummmm...NO. I've about had it with this and I am seriously contemplating a move to somewhere warm. Maybe Orlando and I could get a job at Disney, or somewhere ...
Well, since we have been having an extended cold snap here* I thought I would attempt to take some photos of the sun behind the Chugach Mountains. Yeah, that didn't pan out anywhere near as well as I had planned. I cruised around for about 15 minutes looking for a good spot where I could a)get a wide angle shot of the mountains and b) not get any streetlights. Turns out, that's pretty hard to do...
... this entry (8:00 p.m.), the temperature for New Palestine: Temperature: 1 degree Wind speed: Gusting from 26 to 43 mph. Wind chill: -23 degrees Fahrenheit. That's cold. God forbid tomorrow's Packers/Bears night game in Chicago (colder than New Palestine) be anything less of nightmarish. http://www.weather.com/weather/local/46163?lswe=46163&lwsa=WeatherLocalUndeclared&from=searchbox_localwx
