Horses are home, hoof problem

Finally I have my horses home, but Tequila (who is new to me) has some serious issues with his hoof that I need advice about. This is the view out my bedroom window now. It's such a great thing to wake up to. Tequila is on the left and Apollo is on the right. And before anyone asks, hell yes those t posts are capped! :p Apollo eating breakfast. Landlord came and got the window closed- had to use some serious force, not sure what caused the problem, he's going to check into it. Seems that Gavin and I are now both afflicted with some sort of ick- she seems to have a cold, while I have...um, a cough and a miserably dry, sore, itchy throat- I feel like I'm breathing sandpaper...which is causing the cough, as well as sore muscles in my chest...
