Travel plans for 2010

I'm trying to clear my time off for next year, because the way my company works is you basically have to have all the time off confirmed before the year even starts. Hubby and I are planning a trip to London, Glasgow and Edinburgh in the spring or summer. As much as we'd love to be in Edinburgh for the Festival, we also wish to avoid the crowds and price gouging that would seem to be inevitable...

.... Thanksgiving was like 750 bones. I really don't think I can continue to justify flying twice in a 30-day span to the same place at a cost of over a grand every year, and on the absolute worst days to travel. Ugh. At least I flew (somehow) first class on the last leg of my trip, even though there was no food and no TV on the flight. I really wanted to pee in the first-class bathroom as well but ...
