I suck at breakups. Do I have issues?

... doing it in such a way that doesn't leave a swath of wreckage behind... Can I really be this poisonous to those I care about? Am I toxic? Some sort of passive agression? Possibly some pop-psychological transferance thing where I'm secretly deeply unhappy and want to hurt those around me so they're as miserable as I am? I didn't see things working out long-term with Dana, so I broke up with her....

I can only really see depression or transferance. She has been very good at keeping him just that far away.
