WoD: Tortfeasor

Word of the Day: TORTFEASOR Tortfeasor: The individual who commits a tort. And what is a tort, you may ask?  A "tort" is a civil wrong or injury that results in damages to another's person or property.  So, the defendant in a civil trial is the tortfeasor, while the accuser is called a plaintiff.
