I'm reasonably happy with the way the election turned out, although it was sad to see that California is, functionally, every bit as ignorant and tightassed as Michigan is. It looks like the Democrats won't quite be filibuster-proof in the Senate, which is a good thing. The Republican Party seems to have gotten the ass-kicking it needs, and that's an even better thing. This was the first election...
